St. James man dies in Crawford County crash

CRAWFORD COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A St. James man died from injuries he suffered in a Crawford County crash that occurred Wednesday in the eastbound lane of Interstate 44 at mile-marker 221, according to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred as a 2003 Ford F150 – driven by James Hendrickson – went off the right side of the road and hit the towed unit of a semi-truck that was parked on the shoulder, according to the report. Hendrickson was ejected from the vehicle and was brought to Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries later that night, the report states. He was 44.

The report does not state if Hendrickson was wearing a seatbelt. The Ford was totaled.
