Teenager seriously injured in Randolph County crash

RANDOLPH COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A teenager suffered serious injuries on Friday on County Road 1275, about five miles north of Huntsville, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

The crash occurred as the 16-year-old from Macon tried to make a right turn on his 2006 Yamaha ATV and failed to yield to a 2004 Toyota Tacoma – driven by Jeffrey Rank, 61, of Lohman. The teenager was ejected from the vehicle.

The teenager was not wearing a helmet and was flown to University Hospital. Rank was wearing a seatbelt.

The ATV was totaled, while the Toyota had extensive damage.
