One man injured after ATV crash in Cooper County

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Dalton L. Hazlett, 20, of Pilot Grove Missouri, is suffering serious injuries after a single ATV crash in Cooper County on Saturday.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol Crash Report, the crash happened around 7:30 p.m. south of 3874 Conservation Drive in Cooper County.

According to Troopers, Hazlett was traveling northbound at the time of the crash when he failed to negotiate a turn. Troopers say the ATV went off the right side of the road, hit an embankment, flipped, and stopped in the road.

The crash caused Hazlett to be ejected from the ATV and thrown into a fence post, according to the crash report.

Troopers say, Hazlett was not wearing helmet and was flown to University Hospital.
