St. James man seriously hurt after motorcycle crash in Phelps County

PHELPS COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A St. James man was seriously hurt after a crash in Phelps County at around 4:30 p.m. Sunday, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

The report states a 63-year-old man was driving a Motto Guzzi motorcycle eastbound on I-44 at mm 189 when he experienced a tire failure, causing the bike to cross the center line and go off the road.

The man was thrown from the motorcycle. He was taken to Phelps Health by ambulance with serious injuries.
