BBQ benefit to be held for family of fallen Det. Sgt. Mason Griffith

ROSEBUD, Mo. (KMIZ)

A BBQ benefit will be held by the Alumni of the Missouri Sheriff's Academy Class No. 146 to raise money for the family for fallen Hermann Sgt. Mason Griffith.

The benefit will be held April 22. at 11 a.m. at the American Legion Hall in Rosebud, Missouri.

Sgt. Griffith was a graduate of the Sheriff's Academy Class No. 146.

All proceeds will go to the Griffith family.

Sgt. Griffith was shot and killed in the line of duty on March 12. while responding to to a call at a Casey's convenience store in Hermann.

Officer Adam Sullentrup, also responded to the call and was also shot and suffered critical injuries.

Sullentrup's family said in a statement, Sullentrup remains in the Intensive Care Unit and has recently been upgraded to stable condition.
