Westphalia man seriously hurt after crash in Osage County

OSAGE COUNTY, Mo.

A Westphalia, Missouri man was seriously hurt after a crash in Osage County Friday afternoon.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the crash happened on U.S. 63 north of Maries Avenue at 3:15 p.m.

According to online crash reports, 89-year-old Albert Wieberg was driving in his 2006 Toyota Corolla when he was leaving a parking lot and pulled into the path of a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado.

The Silverado then hit Wieberg.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash, according to Troopers.

Wieberg was taken by ambulance to University Hospital in serious condition.

The driver of the Silverado was not hurt in the crash, Troopers said.
