Moberly to get $1.5 million from federal grant for infrastructure improvements

MOBERLY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The City of Moberly is getting a $1.5 million grant from the Economic Development Administration, according to a Thursday press release from the EDA.

The grant is stated to be for roadway infrastructure improvements needed to support an industrial park and promote local business growth. The release states is will be “matched with $1.6 million in local funds,” and is expected to retain 42 jobs, the release states.

The grant is part of a $2.8 million investment the federal government has made for infrastructure in Missouri -- according to the release -- with another $1.3 million grant going to the City of Washington.
