Missouri Department of Public Safety brings awareness to SafeNation app following Trump shooting

Missouri Department of Public Safety

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Missouri Department of Public Safety is bringing more awareness to the SafeNation application days after the assassination attempt of former President Donald Trump.

With the SafeNation app, users can anonymously report suspicious activity and upload photos and videos. The app reinforces the Homeland Security #SeeSomethingSaySomething campaign.

SafeNation defines suspicious activity as observed behavior that could indicate terrorism-related criminal activity. The shooting on Saturday is being investigated as possible domestic terrorism.

ABC 17 News has not verified the specific post was in response to the shooting at the rally on Saturday.

This is a developing story.
