Missouri congressional delegation reacts to FBI raid at Mar-a-Lago

Several Missouri politicians from across the state expressed their concerns after the FBI raided former President Donald Trump's residence at Mar-a-Lago in Florida.

I share the concerns of many Missourians and Americans regarding yesterday’s search of President Trump’s home.
The unsupported and hostile targeting of a former President by the FBI and DOJ detaches them from their independent and nonpartisan law enforcement duty. Political motivation and gamesmanship destroy public trust in our justice system. Now is time for transparency.
Never have such actions been taken against a former President, and the White House’s denial of knowledge about such an unprecedented move is either a lie or complete failure of leadership. The DOJ must immediately answer for these actions.

"At a time when American faith in government institutions and the media is at an all-time low, the unprecedented raid of former President Donald Trump’s home by the FBI is truly shocking and furthers our nation’s mistrust of government at all levels.
"For the American legal system to work and truly live up to the standard that justice should be blind, the application of criminal statutes should not be used selectively against political opponents. The Department of Justice lost credibility in the eyes of many Americans over the past decade, on multiple levels, and they need to be held accountable for their politically motivated actions.

FBI Director Wray and Attorney General Garland need to immediately explain to the American people, and to Congress, why this search and seizure was necessary. Anything less than full and complete transparency on their part will further divide our nation and is a miscarriage of justice.

This action was not taken against Hillary Clinton for deleting 33,000 emails from her private server, nor was it taken in a host of other investigations against Democrats, including Hunter Biden. I am asking the Department of Justice and the FBI to give a full account as to exactly what the required threat to national security was and if there wasn't one why this search warrant was necessary.”

The Biden Administration is using the federal government to target his political opponents.
The same DOJ that labeled innocent parents as domestic terrorists is now abusing its power to try and take down President Trump.
