COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Missouri State Treasurer Scott Fitzpatrick was in Columbia highlighting the linked deposit program as a resource for Missouri small businesses.

The 'MOBUCKS' program partners the treasurer's office with Missouri financial institutions to lower the interest rate on qualified loans.

State treasurer Fitzpatrick said with interest rates increasing this program is important for small business owners and farmers.

"It is designed for small businesses. It's not, we're not giving this to multinational corporations that have access to other avenues of financing. It's for its design that benefits small businesses," said Fitzpatrick.
