Rolla man dies in Phelps County crash

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Rolla man died Sunday when a truck hit his Jeep when he failed to yield during a left turn onto Highway 63, the Missouri State Highway Patrol says.

James Clark, 62, was making a left turn out of a residence in a Jeep Cherokee when he failed to yield for a Chevrolet 1600 pickup truck driven by Joseph Eisele, 56, of Florissant, Missouri, the patrol reported. Eisele and his passenger, Cindy Eisele, 63, of Florissant, suffered moderate injuries and were taken to Phelps Health Hospital by ambulance.

Clark's Jeep rolled after being hit by the truck on Highway 63, about six miles south of Rolla. He was pronounced dead at the scene, the patrol says.
