JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Jefferson City man was sentenced to 15 years in federal prison without parole on Wednesday for a drug charge, according to a press release from the Department of Justice.

Tremaine Davol Bell, 43, pleaded guilty on Jan. 18 for possessing fentanyl with the intent to distribute.

Previous reporting indicates that Bell was seen leaving a U-Haul storage facility in Jefferson City in October 2022 and investigators believed he was storing heroin. A previous release says police tried to pull Bell over for a traffic stop, but he pulled into a gas station and ran away. Police were able to arrest him on Christy Drive, the release says.

Bell was found with $1,210 in his pocket and police found a gun and weed in the car, previous reporting says. Police searched his storage unit and found 582 grams of heroin, three stolen guns and $29,988 in cash.
