Columbia man charged with domestic assault, allegedly hit another person with brick

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Columbia man was charged after he allegedly assaulted another person with a brick on Saturday.

Christian Jones, 23, was charged with first-degree domestic assault. An arraignment was held on Monday and he is being held at the Boone County Jail without bond.

According to the probable cause statement, Jones called police at 6:42 p.m. Saturday to turn himself in after the assault. The statement says that Jones came home after work and started arguing with the victim before picking up a brick and hitting them in the back of the head.

After the victim fell to the ground, Jones started punching the victim in the head and neck, the statement says. The victim had several injuries, the statement says.
