Cole County COVID-19 cases staying flat as state order deadline approaches
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)
As the end of phase one of Gov. Mike Parson's reopening plan approaches Monday, Cole County's COVID-19 case numbers continue to their zero growth trend.
According to the Cole County Health Department, there is currently one active case in the county. The department has also not reported a new case since May 25.
The city is following the state's guidelines as to what businesses can operate and at what capacity.
Phase one orders people and businesses in the state to abide by social distancing requirements. This includes keeping 6 feet of distance between yourself and others.
The order also limits those operating in retail to 25 percent or less of the building's authorized fire or building code occupancy for buildings less than 10,000 square feet, and 10 percent for those larger than 10,000 square feet.
Phase one expires Monday. Parson has promised more details on COVID-19-related orders that will replace it during his briefing Thursday.
