Columbia Fire Department: Apartment fire at The Links caused by burner that was left on

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A fire that occurred last month at The Links, a Columbia apartment complex area, was determined to have started from a stove burner that was left on by accident, according to an email from a Columbia Fire Department spokesperson.

The fire was ruled unintentional, the email states. Firefighters responded to a fire at an apartment building in the 5000 block of Clark Lane on March 25.

 The fire was limited to one building, but multiple units were affected, according to a previous release from the Columbia Fire Department.  

The fire affected multiple residents.
