Update: Jefferson City Police report suspect in custody

UPDATE 6:30 P.M.: Jefferson City Police report the suspect law enforcement had been looking is now in custody.

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Cole County law enforcement is in a manhunt searching for a suspect on the 3000 block of Route T according to Sheriff John Wheeler.

According to Jefferson City Police social media, the suspect ran off after a traffic stop on the 1900 block of Missouri Blvd around 4:30 p.m.

JCPD social media post says the subject is described as a white male, dark T-shirt and grey pants. Sheriff Wheeler says the suspect is a white male with gray pants and a black T-shirt.
