Years of Missouri Senate Republican infighting comes to a breaking point, and the loss of parking

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) — Missouri state Senate leaders have demoted several fellow Republicans from committee roles and taken away their parking spots. Sens. Bill Eigel and Rick Brattin on Tuesday said they were downgraded parking spots that are noticeably farther away from the Jefferson City Capitol. Those senators, along with Sens. Andrew Koenig and Denny Hoskins, also lost coveted committee chairmanship positions. Senate President Pro Tem Caleb Rowden says he acted in response to years of noncooperation and obstruction from those lawmakers. The four are among members of the Freedom Caucus who for days have been blocking work from getting done on the Senate floor.
