16-year-old found shot to death in lobby of lofts building

ST. LOUIS (AP) — An investigation continues after a 16-year-old boy was found shot to death in the lobby of a lofts building in downtown St. Louis. Police on Saturday identified the victim as 16-year-old Terrion Smith. He was found shot multiple times around 11:20 p.m. Friday just inside the front door of the Ely Walker lofts on Washington Avenue. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Smith’s mother told KSDK-TV tat her son was a sophomore at Sumner High School. KSDK-TV reports that already this year, more than two dozen children ranging in age from 5 to 17 have been shot in the St. Louis area this year. Smith is the first to die from his injuries.
