Police: McDonald’s employee shot in argument over discount

KMIZ

ST. LOUIS (AP) — Authorities say a St. Louis woman is jailed after she shot a McDonald’s employee during an argument over a discount. Thirty-year-old Terika Clay was charged Thursday with first-degree assault and armed criminal action, both felonies. A probable cause statement says Clay was in the drive-through of a McDonald’s in the St. Louis suburb of Normandy on Wednesday when she argued with an employee over not getting a discount on her french fries. The argument continued when the employee went outside for a smoke break. Police say Clay hit the woman with her gun and then shot her. The employee’s condition was not immediately available.
