Three people injured after Camden County golf cart crash

CAMDEN COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A juvenile and two adults were taken to the hospital after a golf cart crash in Camden County on Saturday.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crash Report, the crash happened a little before 9:00 p.m. on Avalon Way just west of Stagecoach Lane in Camden County.

Troopers say, James S. Eaklor, 61, Lori L. Eaklor,55, and a juvenile female all from Silex, Missouri were traveling eastbound on Avalon Way when the crash happened.

A mechanical malfunction took place with the golf cart causing James to then loose control, according to the crash report.

Troopers say, the golf cart traveled backwards, struck an embankment, and overturned.

Lori and the juvenile were driven to Lake Regional Hospital by EMS with minor injuries, while James was flown to University Hospital with serious injuries, according to Troopers.

Troopers say, no one in the golf cart was wearing a safety device.
