Rolla man charged with child porn after online tip

PHELPS COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Rolla man was arrested Thursday by the Phelps County Sheriff for allegedly possessing child pornography.

Phelps County Sheriff's Office shared on Facebook that 43-year-old Ian Wood was arrested in the 500 Block of West 2nd Street for allegedly promoting and possessing child pornography. On Friday, Wood was charged by the Phelps County Prosecuting Attorney with two counts of child pornography possession.

Wood is in the Phelps County Jail with a bond of $250,000.

Law enforcement started investigating Wood because of a tip from the Cyber Tipline Report. Detectives discovered evidence of invasion of privacy as well, where adults were filmed without consent, according to Phelps County Sheriff.
