Youth vaccine comfort clinic to be held Oct. 22 in Columbia

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services will host a COVID-19 and flu vaccination comfort clinic on Saturday, Oct. 22, from 9 a.m. -1 p.m. at its location on 1005 W. Worley St. in Columbia.

The comfort clinic is available to children ages 6 months-18 years who are interested in receiving the COVID-19 and/or flu vaccine, but are anxious about needles or the process of receiving a vaccination. Appointments are required.

Primary doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine will be available for ages 6 months through 18 years old.

Updated/bivalent Pfizer booster doses will also be available for those ages 5-18 years old. The updated booster is recommended as a single booster dose at least two months following primary or previous booster vaccination.

COVID-19 and flu vaccines for children at PHHS are free and do not require ID or health insurance. Parental consent forms are required for anyone younger than 18.
