Attorney orders bond investigation for man charged in connection with Rolling Rock Drive shooting

The attorney for Deandre Winters, the man charged in connection with the death of a University of Missouri student, has filed a motion for a bond investigation.

The newly filed motion indicates Winters is hoping to get his bond reduced.

Winters and Darren Carter each face a felony charge of tampering with evidence in connection to Richard Ward’s death after a shooting on Rolling Rock Drive.

Both men are accused of moving Ward after he was shot and investigators say they hid a gun from police.

Both Winters and Carter are held on a $100,000 cash-only bond at the Boone County Jail.
