Danuser Machine Company breaks ground for expansion

Danuser Machine Company broke ground Wednesday on a $3.7 million expansion project.

This expansion will include a 32,000-square-foot manufacturing addition at the company’s Fulton location. It is the first of two or three expansions the 103-year-old company has planned for the next decade.

“To continue to see a company that’s this old survive in this age and grow is an amazing feat and it’s a great tribute to the employees and management here,” said Missouri State Sen. Mike Kehoe.

Fifteen new jobs are expected from the expansion over the next couple of years and it’s the first expansion in more than 40 years.

Funding for the project came from a Chapter 100 bond with the city of Fulton, which allows the city to help pay for it.

“We’re very optimistic,” Danuser vice president Janea Danuser said. “We are looking forward to the future. I am hoping this is just one of a few expansions we get to experience during our tenure.”

Construction on the project is expected to be completed next year.
