Columbia woman pleads guilty in Welcome Inn murder case

A Columbia woman has pleaded guilty to second degree murder and armed criminal action on Tuesday.

According to police, Jaclyn Rose is seen on surveillance video as the last person to leave the victim’s room before his body was found the next day. The victim, Gregory Moore, was found in his room at the Welcome Inn on Nov. 17, 2016 with a gunshot wound.

Prosecutor Dan Knight told ABC 17 News that he plans to recommend the life sentence for the second degree murder charge and 20 years consecutive to the life sentence for armed criminal action.
