78-year-old man killed in Pulaski County crash
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
A 78-year-old man was killed in single-vehicle crash Wednesday on Interstate 44 near the 158-mile marker in Pulaski County, according to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The report says that a 2016 Ram 1500 – driven by a 36-year-old man from Lebanon, Missouri – was heading westbound when it went off the left side of the road, hit some trees and an embankment, and overturned.
The 78-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene and was brought to Waynesville Memorial Funeral Chapel. The driver had serious injuries and was brought to Phelps Health in Rolla, the report says.
The 78-year-old was not wearing a seatbelt, but the 36-year-old was wearing one, the report says.
The vehicle was totaled.
