Man flown to hospital after semi crash in Phelps County

PHELPS COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Canadian man was flown to University Hospital in Columbia after a semi rolled over on Interstate 44 in Phelps County.

According to a crash report, the crash happened near the 193-mile marker at 1:18 p.m. Friday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said that Ramandeep Singh, 27, was driving the semi when it went off the right side of the road and overturned multiple times.

According to the report, Singh is from Brampton, Ontario.

The semi was towed from the scene and was totaled in the wreck. Troopers said Singh was not wearing a seat belt.

A spokesman for MU Health Care said Singh was in serious condition Friday night.
