Times and TV assignments announced for two Mizzou football games

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ

The Mizzou football team knows the kickoff time for two more of its home games during the 2024 season. On Thursday, the SEC released all of the TV and kickoff information for the first three weeks of the season.

Head coach Eli Drinkwitz and company will face Buffalo at Faurot Field on Saturday, Sept. 7 at 6 p.m. CT. The game will air on SECN+ and ESPN+.

Then, the following weekend, MU will host Boston College on Saturday, Sept. 14 at 11:45 a.m. CT. The meeting between the Tigers and the Eagles will air on SEC Network.

All SEC Network games will kickoff at 11:45 a.m.m 3:15 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. during the 2024 season.

As previously announced, Mizzou will host Murray State in its season opener on Thursday, Aug. 29 at 7 p.m. It is the third-straight year that MU will kick off the season on a Thursday night and the fifth weeknight game at Memorial Stadium since 2009. You can watch that match up on SEC Network.

In another scheduling note, the annual Egg Bowl between Mississippi State and Ole Miss will be played on Friday, Nov. 29 at 2:30 p.m. CT. That time slot is typically used for the Battle Line rivalry game between Mizzou and Arkansas, so all signs point towards that game staying on Saturday, Nov. 30 in 2024, although nothing is official quite yet.

New this year is the debut of a new scheduling format for SEC games across all ESPN platforms, with the opportunity for teams and fans to know approximate start times for the entire season. Fans should know approximate start times for the entire Mizzou football season on June 11, during the 'SEC Now: Inside the 2024 Schedule' release show at 1 p.m. CT.
