Warrensburg man faces several child porn charges

WARRENSBURG, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Warrensburg man has been charged with several child pornography charges.

John Skelly, 47, was charged on Thursday with three counts of possessing child pornography, first-degree promoting child pornography and sexual exploitation of a minor child. He is being held in the Johnson County Jail on a $50,000 bond. A court date has not been set.

According to a press release from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, law enforcement executed a search warrant at Skelly’s residence and found child pornography on his cellphone and computer.

Skelly allegedly admitted to law enforcement to downloading and sharing it, according to the release.

According to court documents, Skelly allegedly created child pornography by taking pictures of a child on May 26.
