No major injuries reported when vehicle hits Target store

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A vehicle hit Columbia's Target store Wednesday, going about a foot inside the building.

Building inspectors were expected to survey the damage Wednesday, Columbia Fire Department Chief Clayton Farr Jr. said, but the damage appeared relatively minor. Firefighters received reports of injuries before heading to the store but found no one significantly hurt when they got to the scene.

The store remained open after the crash.

Farr said the incident would have been worse had the store and sidewalk been more crowded.
