Tracking daily rain chances into the workweek

TODAY: Isolated storms are possible in the morning, with storm coverage increasing along and south of I-70 in the early afternoon. Temperatures climb to the mid-80s, and humidity pushes the heat index into the mid-90s. Storm chances decrease overnight as we lose the heat of the day.

TOMORROW: Monday starts dry and sunny, but showers and storms redevelop in the afternoon areawide. Temperatures again reach the mid-80s with the heat index in the mid-90s.

EXTENDED: Daily chances for storms are expected this week as a front stalls across the area between I-70 and I-44. A midweek disturbance will enhance rain chances late Tuesday and Wednesday, bringing the most widespread storm chances of the forecast. Heat and humidity will continue to support daytime storm chances through late week as well. High temperatures dwell in the mid-to-upper 80s with the heat index in the 90s through Friday.
