Tracking a break from storms today, more rain next week

TODAY: Sunny and warm with near-average highs in the mid-70s. Winds will be noticeably breezy up to 25 mph out of the west.

TOMORROW: Rain before sunrise, then mostly sunny with highs in the mid to upper 70s. Storm chances return on Sunday night as a warm front lifts through the area.

EXTENDED: A string of ABC 17 Stormtrack Weather Alert Days have been issued for several potential rounds of severe storms early next week. The first round of storms will likely arrive on Sunday night from the southwest as a warm front ushers in humid and energetic air. We will be under this unstable atmosphere from late Sunday through late Tuesday, with rounds of strong to severe storms possible each day. Storm chances finally decrease into Wednesday as a cold front brings a cooldown to the 60s midweek.
