Tracking drizzle and rain into the weekend

THIS AFTERNOON: Cloudy and cool with temperatures struggling to reach the 40s. Winds from the east could gust up to 20 mph.

TONIGHT: Drizzle is possible in the afternoon and evening but temperatures remain above freezing in the mid-30s.

EXTENDED: Drizzle will become showers early Saturday but only about a tenth of an inch of rain is expected. Temperatures reach the 40s before a cooldown into the second half of the weekend, as Sunday morning drops below freezing and the afternoon barely climbs to the mid-30s. Next week remains colder and several waves of winter weather are possible, first by late Monday and again on Wednesday. This active pattern looks to continue even further into February.
