Tracking another round of rain this evening

THIS AFTERNOON:  It's a gloomy overcast start to the afternoon. Steady rainfall is continuing to work northward. Have the umbrella ready for the evening commute, especially if you're in and south of Jefferson City.

TONIGHT: That steady rain will carry us through tonight. Lows will fall into the upper 30’s.

EXTENDED:  Rain will start to taper off and pull east Thursday afternoon. Northerly winds will pick up early and stay with us into the afternoon, leading to a cool day with highs in the upper 40’s. We manage to do a little better with sunshine returning Friday. Temperatures will make it into the low 50’s and will flirt with 60 on Saturday. A dry cold front will slide through Sunday, knocking back temperatures into the low 50’s to close out the weekend. Quiet weather looks to stick around for next week, with highs returning to the mid to upper 50’s.
