Columbia Parks and Recreation has a public meeting to gain input on the expansion of the Columbia Sports Fieldhouse, according to a Wednesday press release from the city..

The meeting will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7 at the Fieldhouse on 4251 Philips Farm Road.

The expansion of the facility includes four additional hardwood courts, restrooms, office space, meeting room and common areas, according to a press release. The Columbia Sports Fieldhouse opened in 2019 to fill a need in the community for a multi-use indoor sports facility. Input is also being taken online.

Funding for the Fieldhouse expansion will come from the Columbia Convention and Visitors Bureau Tourism Development Fund, general fund reserves, private donations and the voter-approved Park Sales Tax from 2021.
