Police: Woman charged after threatening students on bus

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Columbia woman was charged with trespassing on a school bus and peace disturbance after police say she threatened children on a bus in October.

The Columbia Police Department said in a probable cause statement that it had video of Alexis Harvey-Phillips, 24, entering a school bus and screaming and yelling at children in the back of the bus in a threatening manner on Oct. 5.

Harvey-Phillips was allegedly told to get off the bus by the driver and she refused, according to the probable cause statement. The alleged incident was reported near the intersection of Poppy Way and Rose Drive.

Police drove to Harvey-Phillips' house. A woman identified herself as Harvey-Phillips, but she allegedly refused to open the door. The officer allegedly told her she needed to come outside to discuss what happened, but she told the officer they needed a warrant.

An initial appearance is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29 at the Boone County Courthouse.
