MILLER COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A man suffered serious injuries and a woman sustained minor injuries in a one-vehicle crash in Miller County on Wednesday night on Highway 52 just east of Hall Store Road.

Charles Moentmann, 31, of Rolla, drove his 2006 Chevrolet Uplander across the center of the highway and traveled off the left side of the roadway, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.

He overcorrected and the van returned to the roadway, crossed the center of the highway and traveled off the right side of the roadway. The undercarriage struck the ground and the vehicle overturned.

Moentmann and the passenger, Sarah Reid, 25, of West Plains, were taken to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage by ambulance. Reid was wearing a seatbelt, Moentmann was not, according to the MSHP report.

The van was totaled.
