Columbia man charged after alleged machete attack

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Boone County man is arrested after assaulting another man allegedly with a machete at a motel Saturday afternoon.

According to court documents, Tyrone Seals was attempting to get money back from the purchase of a stereo.

Seals is accused of attacking the victim with a machete after not giving Seals his money back.

A witness told police that Seals hit the victim multiple times with the machete.

Police later found the machete with blood on it wrapped in Seals' clothing.

Seals is charged with 2nd-degree assault and armed criminal action.

A court denied Seals bond.

A docket hearing and a preliminary hearing are scheduled Wednesday for Seals.
