Drugs, weapons seized Friday in Moniteau County

CALIFORNIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

After a tip, an investigation into a residence on Highway K in California leads to the arrest of Jeffery Abbott for multiple drug charges and a weapons charge Friday.

According to court documents, Moniteau County Sheriff's Office searched the residence and found multiple drugs (fentanyl, meth, marijuana and several schedule 4 drugs) and a gun at a trailer on the property.

During the investigation, several people at the residence admitted to ownership of certain drugs found on the property, according to the sheriff's office. They also claimed Abbott rented out the railer and were aware that Abbott sells drugs, the sheriff's office said.

Abbott is charged with four counts of delivery of a controlled substance and one count of unlawful possession of a firearm.

Abbott's bond is set at $100,000 cash or surety.
