Natural gas rates going up for Ameren Missouri customers

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Ameren Missouri natural gas customers will see rates going up under a filing that will take effect Sunday.

Customers in mid-Missouri will see a rate increase of $.03 per Ccf (per hundred cubic feet) of natural gas.

According to the release, Ameren reports up to 55% of its customers' current natural gas bill uses the cost of natural gas from wholesale suppliers.

Officials with Missouri Public Service Commission report the rate change is due to the estimated changes in the wholesale cost of natural gas as well as a change in the company’s Actual Cost Adjustment (ACA) factor.
