Columbia man arrested Monday after allegedly pulling gun during an altercation

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Columbia man is arrested after a Saturday afternoon incident involving a gun on the 400 block of N. Providence.

According to a Boone County probable cause statment, the victim reported to getting into an altercation and assaulted by someone else then left in a vehicle when Gus Wright allegedly pointed a gun at the victim.

According to court documents, witnesses told police they had to beg Wright to not shoot because there were children in the car as the victim drove off.

Wright is charged with unlawful use of weapon and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Wright's bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety.

Wright's next court date is Oct. 29.
