Verbal altercation turned physical leads to an arrest in Fulton

FULTON, Mo. (KMIZ)

Fulton Police arrested a man Saturday night after he allegedly hit a woman over the head with a weapon.

According to the police report, FPD officers responded to the 100 block of West Oliver Street for a report of an assault around 9:50 p.m.

Upin arrival, officers determined a verbal argument turned into a physical altercation resulting in William C. Braden, of Fulton, striking a female victim several times in the head with a blunt weapon.

The victim appeared to have minimal injuries and was taken to an area hospital to seek medical attention.

Braden was arrested and released to the Callaway County Jail on a $4500 bond.  He faces a second-degree assault charge.
