One dead after crash in Pettis County

PETTIS COUNTY Mo. (KMIZ)

Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers have identified a man who was killed in a crash in Pettis County Friday night.

Investigators say it happened around 6 p.m. on Katy Trail approximately 1 mile west of Route BB.

According to the crash report, 43-year-old Chris M. Eye, of Sedalia traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree.

Eye was pronounced dead at the scene.

This is MSHP Troop F's 2nd fatality for September and 53rd for 2020.
