Three shot, one dead after a large house party

WARRENSBURG Mo. (KMIZ)

Authorities are searching for a male suspect after he allegedly shot three people, killing one in Warrensburg on Saturday morning.

Official reports say it happened when a fight broke out at a large house party near the 400 block of Grover Street.

That's when the suspect pulled out a gun and started shooting, hitting three people.

An 18-year-old woman from Warrensburg was found dead from an apparent gunshot wound in an alley behind the house.

A 20-year-old man and a 17-year-old girl were also shot and transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Warrensburg officers were called to the 400 block of Grover Street to investigate the shooting early Saturday morning. When officers arrived they discovered the 3 shooting victims.

Officers from the Warrensburg Police Department, the Johnson County Sheriff's Office and the University of Central Missouri Department of Public Safety are investigating.

Authorities are now searching for the male suspect while they gather more information.
