Tracking the first thunderstorms of the season

SUNDAY: We will start the day partly sunny but see increasing cloud cover as we head into the afternoon hours. Possible spotty showers after 2 pm but we will see those increase towards dinner. Highs are in the middle 60's.

SUNDAY NIGHT: Showers and thunderstorms likely sticking along and south of I-70 through the overnight hours. Lightning and thunder may keep you up tonight but these storms are not severe and pose no threat. Lows in the upper 30's.

EXTENDED: Thunderstorms will exit the region before your morning commute on Monday. Most of us will remain dry through Monday but a few spot showers may pop up during the day time. Monday holds the only rain chance for the rest of the seven-day outlook. We will spend much of the week mostly sunny and our high temperatures will be situated comfortably in the mid to upper 50's.
