Fulton shooting suspect arrested after chase

FULTON, MO. (KMIZ) -

Callaway County Sheriff's deputies arrested 27-year-old Markus Berry of Auxvasse Saturday night, in connection to a shooting at a Fulton gas station.

Fulton Police Chief Steve Meyers said Berry was arrested around 5:30 p.m. Saturday in North Callaway County after leading deputies on a vehicle pursuit.

According to a Facebook post, deputies conducted a wanted person investigation around 3 p.m. on Saturday in the 6000 block of County Road 262 near Auxvasse.

During the investigation, deputies attempted to stop Berry's vehicle but he refused, which lead to a vehicle pursuit.

After a brief chase and crash, Berry fled the vehicle on foot.

Several deputies and Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers responded to assist.

Myers said the department is still looking for other suspects involved in Friday's exchange of gunfire at the gas station.
