Two dead after drowning in Dallas County Creek

BUFFALO, Mo. (KMIZ)

Two people died after they drowned in a Dallas County creek Friday night.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol boating and drowning reports, Richard Berthiaume, 45, jumped into Lindley Creek to get a dog. That's when Tina Lewis, 52, jumped into the creek to help Berthiaume.

Both were pronounced dead shortly after 6:30 p.m.
