Mizzou basketball Rallies for Rhyan with win over Arkansas

COLUMBA, Mo. - The Mizzou basketball team won the fifth annual Rally for Rhyan game with an 83-79 win over the Arkansas Razorbacks in overtime.

The win snaps a three-game losing streak and improves Mizzou's record to 11-12 (3-7 SEC). The Tigers are 5-0 in the Rally for Rhyan games.

Mizzou announced it raised about $80,000 for pediatric cancer research.

In a game with more than 50 total fouls, the Tigers found a way to score at the free throw line shooting 78 percent.

Xavier Pinson led the Tigers with a career-high 24 points and seven rebounds. Reed Nikko recorded a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Dru Smith had 11 points and four rebounds, and Javon Pickett had 14 points and six rebounds.

The Tigers next face (18) LSU on Tuesday at 8 p.m.
