Warm and sunny weekend underway

SATURDAY: We will start the day off partly cloudy but will see those clouds move out and leave us mostly sunny by the afternoon. Highs are in the upper 40's and near 50 degrees.

SATURDAY NIGHT: Mostly clear with a low in the upper 30's.

SUPERBOWL SUNDAY: We will be feeling like Miami here in Mid-MO with highs in the mid to upper 60's and abundant sunshine to help us root on the Chiefs!

EXTENDED: The weekend will be putting us on cloud nine and Monday will have the warmth stick around but the clouds make their reappearance and stick around. Our next chance of precipitation starts early Tuesday morning and starts off as rain. Temperatures will be falling throughout Tuesday leading to a switch between rain and a rain/snow mix after lunchtime. Once we fall below freezing snow will fall and start to accumulate. This system could linger around as long as early Thursday morning leading to possible impacting accumulation but it is too early along to forecast total amounts. Temperatures will fall back to the colder temperatures that we are used to for this time of year and stay there into next weekend. Keep updated on this next system with us here at ABC 17 News.
