Jill Biden stumps for husband in Columbia

Katie Greathouse

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ) -

Dr. Jill Biden stopped in Columbia on Monday to campaign for her husband Joe Biden.

Jill Biden appeared for a get out the vote event at the Activity and Recreation Center on Ash Street.

The stop in Columbia was her third of four across Missouri on the day before the state's presidential preference primary.

Biden talked about her husband's ability to work with people of the opposite political party to pass legislation.

"We need new leadership in this country. Joe has the experience, he was vice president for 8 years, and he can walk into the White House day one and get to work," Biden said.
